A camera flash gives you ultimate control over your lighting. By using an external flash, you can expose a subject differently than with the built-in flash of your camera. Also, red eyes are a thing of the past when you use an external camera flash. We offer an extensive selection of camera flashes. Our flashes are suitable for i.a. cameras from Canon, Nikon and Sony. In general, there are three types of external camera flashes:
- Grip-type flash
- Hot shoe flash
- Ring flash
A grip-type flash is often used in (professional) photojournalism. This flash can be attached to the camera and is often fitted with a swivel head, which allows you to aim the flash light. The advantage is that you can light a subject indirectly or through reflections. This makes unwanted shadows on the wall a thing of the past.
Hot shoe flash
A hot shoe flash is attached on top of the camera and often has a swivel head. These flashes allow you to light your subject indirectly. Advanced models take into account the selected focal length and adjust the flash strength accordingly, while maintaining TTL measurement.
Ring flashes have been developed for macro photography. This flash is attached to the front of a lens and forms a ring around it. This ensures a beautiful and soft exposure of a subject. That's why ring flashes are also popular to use in portrait photography.
