Description
Canon EOS RP Body
Despite the extensive full-frame sensor, the Canon EOS RP Body is impressively small. The camera combines flexible options with portability. With a high resolution 26.2 MP full-frame CMOS sensor in combination with a DIGIC 8 image processor, both photos and video can be recorded with a wide sensitivity range for different lighting conditions. The sensor also enables an advanced CMOS-AF system with double pixels, which provides phase detection points on the sensor for fast and accurate focusing during still images and video control. In addition to the sensor and processor, the RP also features an electronic viewfinder and a tilting LCD monitor for easier viewing from high and low angles. In addition, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable wireless camera control remotely, along with direct image sharing with linked mobile devices.
The EOS RP is equipped with the RF lens mount, which supports Canon's range of RF mount lenses. This mount is characterized by its wide 54 mm diameter and short 20 mm flange distance, which develops lenses that are both faster and smaller than their SLR equivalents. The mount also includes a 12-pin electronic contact system for more advanced autofocus and image stabilization options. This mount design also offers full compatibility with existing EF and EF-S-mount lenses via an optional EF-EOS R-mount adapter. A large 26.2 MP full-frame CMOS sensor is used and serves as an ideal balance between high-resolution output, low-light performance and speeds. In combination with the DIGIC 8 image processor, the EOS RP has a wide sensitivity range for working in different lighting conditions.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF offers smooth and fast focusing performance in the same way that a camcorder gets focus. This system integrates two separate photo diodes within each pixel to provide a broad and dense network phase detection collection element over a majority of the image sensor to reduce focus hunting for faster, more direct focus placement control. When working with still images, this focusing system works to focus quickly and accurately, making it ideal for recording and following moving subjects, ensuring critical focus with every shot. When recording video, a Movie Servo AF mode provides a smooth and natural focus when switching different subjects or different distances within the scene, as well as the ability to specify tracking sensitivity, AF speed and Face Tracking priority. The Touch AF system makes rack focus possible by simply touching elements in the touch screen on the touch screen to change the focus intuitively.
