The Eizo ColorEdge CG279X 27" is a high-end monitor for video editing, prepress and image editing. The ColorEdge CG279X is the new 27-inch class top model. Installed HDR presets for HLG and PQ ranges, the new monitor is ideally suited for professional use in video editing, pre-press and image editing. With the improved built-in sensor with validation function, the CG279X is the first choice in the prepress environment. The presets for HLG and PQ gamma curves that are pre-installed in the factory are optimal for processing HDR content, which is becoming increasingly common. This is usually edited with SDR monitors in the editing workflow and completed only when grading with true HDR reference monitors such as the ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG3145. The ColorEdge CG279X fits perfectly into this workflow with its numerous film presets. With the True-Black panel, the CG279X can also be saturated from the side show shades of black. The monitor provides a high contrast of 1300:1.

With a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, the CG279X guarantees a sharp image. With a cover of 98% of the DCI-P3 color space as well as 99% of the Adobe RGB color space, it gives an absolutely accurate and unadulterated view of the files to be processed. The ColorEdge CG279X is the first ColorEdge monitor with USB type-C port, which can transmit the monitor signal and simultaneously feed the USB hub built into the monitor. In addition, the CG279X has a DisplayPort, DVI-D, HDMI and four USB downstream ports.

The method of the built-in calibration sensor of the CG279X has again been improved compared to its predecessor. During the new calibration, the user can work without interruption on applications where color does not play a critical role. The validation function allows the accuracy of the monitor to be measured and proven at any time, which is extremely important in prepress. In addition, the CG279X works without a built-in fan and it is possible, for example, in grading suites to work in a pleasant silence. Thanks to the built-in calibration sensor, the 16-bit LUT (Look-Up Table), the extremely accurate factory calibration and Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE), the user can always trust that the monitor will always provide a perfect and unadulterated image of its digital file. The complex control algorithm also contributes to this: it takes into account climatic factors, such as ambient and indoor temperature of the monitor, and thus enables a constant color reproduction after just three minutes.
