    The best lens for starters

Lenses are available in all types and sizes. The prices can also vary considerably. For instance, the prices of lenses already start at around €100 but can soon amount to thousands of euros. When you are just starting with photography, it is important in particular that you experiment and discover. Versitility is important. By using a lens with which you can try out several types of photography, you can find out what suits you best. A large, heavy telephoto lens or macro lens is perhaps not suitable for this. They are often already too specific. Important points to consider when choosing your first lenses are for instance the focal point. Do you prefer a fixed focal point? Then you can choose a prime lens. If you like to zoom, without coming any closer to the subject yourself, a zoom lens is more suitable. Finally, it is also useful to look at the maximum aperture. This indicates how much light can penetrate the lens. The smaller the f-number, the greater the opening and so the more light that penetrates.
