How do I install a firmware update?
Updating firmware is very easy. All you need is your computer, an SD card and of course your camera.
- Download the latest firmware update for your camera. Make sure you choose the version suitable for your computer. Updates are available for both Windows and Mac.
- Place the firmware on a formatted and empty SD card. Make sure you first remove any important photos, videos or other files from the card. Place the downloaded firmware directly on the card and not inside a folder.
- Insert the SD card into your camera. For a successful update it is advisable to use a fully charged battery. Go to the camera menu and select Firmware. Here you can see which firmware version your camera is currently running and get the option to update to the latest firmware on the SD card. Do not switch off the camera during the process. Once the update is complete you are ready to go.
