In 2014, Leica released its first full-frame camera system: the SL system with the Leica SL. In 2019, after extensive feedback from professional Leica users, the greatly improved SL2 followed. The camera included an improved sensor, new processor, built-in image stabilisation, advanced video capabilities and an improved electronic viewfinder, interface and grip. Leica continues to develop its SL system, which means it is once again time for a high-quality successor: the SL3. Leica SL2
With its 46.7-megapixel CMOS sensor, the Leica SL2 delivers exceptional images and is praised for its strong build quality and user-friendly operation. Thanks to the fast Maestro III processor, Object Detection autofocus and 5.5 stops of image stabilisation, images from the SL2 are always razor-sharp. You also enjoy a perfect, natural view through both the bright 3.2” touchscreen and the special 5.76MP Leica EyeRes viewfinder. Together with 4K video, the Leica SL2 remains an extremely versatile camera to this day.
Leica SL3
The Leica SL3 fully meets the demanding requirements of professional photographers. The camera is more compact, lighter and even more user-friendly than its predecessor. The 60-megapixel CMOS BSI full-frame sensor ensures unmatched image quality, and thanks to the new Triple Resolution Technology, you can choose the required photo resolution for every situation: 60, 36 or 18 MP. Videographers now enjoy 8K image quality with H.265 and Apple ProRes support. The Leica UX design, including a new menu structure and tilting 3.2” LED touchscreen, guarantees optimal, personalised operation.
