Follow Focus Systems page 4

The art of focusing

A Follow Focus System is a set of components that work together to help you focus more accurately and easily during video work. Its primary function is to let the focus follow the action. With gears on the focus ring of your lens, you can focus very precisely. This is ideal when you need to change focus during a shot. With a follow focus system you get very smooth transitions. These systems are also available wirelessly.

You can adjust the focus via teeth on the focus ring of the lens. When the follow focus gears turn, the focus ring of the lens turns along with them.
