The OM SYSTEM M. Zuiko Digital ED 45mm F1.2 Pro has the ideal portrait length for Micro Four Thirds photographers and connects the desired 90mm equivalent focal length with a very fast f/1.2 maximum aperture. The combination of the slightly narrow field of vision and the bright diaphragm makes it possible to produce shallow depth of field images and also to work under difficult lighting conditions. This lens is also characterized by its advanced 14-element optical design in 10 groups, containing low dispersion, aspherical and glass elements with high refractive index to control a variety of aberrations and distortions for a high degree of sharpness, brightness and colour fastness. A nine-blade diaphragm is also available for smooth bokeh quality when working with shallow depth of field techniques, and a Z Coating Nano is applied to individual elements to limit flare and ghosting for better contrast.

The physical design of this lens is characterized by a weather proof construction to work under difficult conditions. It also features a Movie & Still Compatible auto focus system for smooth, silent and fast focus performance suitable for both photo and video recordings. A manual focus clutch allows fast switching to manual control and the lens also includes a printed depth of field for prefocus and hyperfocal focusing techniques.
