The 20-megapixel Live MOS sensor and the TruePic IX processor deliver sharp, clear images. Thanks to 5-axis image stabilisation, you don't suffer from motion blur and you photograph effortlessly handheld. As much as 6.5 EV stops of exposure compensation let you work with longer shutter speeds too. Focusing is fast thanks to face and eye detection. For fast-moving subjects, not only does the 5-axis stabilisation come in handy, but also the Pro Capture function, which captures images from before the moment you fully press the shutter. Shoot in S-AF at up to 30 fps, and with C-AF at up to 10 fps.
The new CP button gives you quick access to the most advanced functions of the OM-5 II. High Res Shot mode makes every photo razor-sharp and rich in detail. Shoot handheld photos of up to 50-megapixel RAW, or even 80-megapixel RAW with a tripod. Thanks to in-camera focus stacking, every part of the photo is equally sharp; perfect for macro photography! Also make use of the HDR function, where multiple exposures come together into one evenly bright photo. Specially for outdoor use, the camera features many functions that make photography easy and fast. In sunny weather, you use the built-in ND filters. At night, you use Live Composite, Night Vision or Starry Sky AF for photographing in low to no light. Videographers can film in 4K resolution at 30 fps. Use OM-Log400 for improved dynamic range – ideal if you like to extensively edit colours in post-production. The new OM-Cinema 1 and 2 colour profiles give your footage a distinctive look.
The OM-5 II is built for photographers who love being outdoors. The rugged design withstands dust, rain, cold and rough handling. The improved grip provides better control, more grip and comfort. The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 II is a powerful and versatile zoom lens for the widest range of shots, from wide-angle to telephoto. The rugged dust- and splash-proof construction is designed for all conditions.
The lens surface features the special ZERO coating (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical), which reduces annoying glare and also protects against scratches.
