Panasonic DMW-SFU1GU V-Log Update GH4 / GH5 / G9 / FZ000 is the answer to the demand of the film production market. Log video recording (V-Log L) is thus available for the LUMIX camera and offers exceptional flexibility and a wider dynamic range for color evaluation in the post-production process. V-Log / V-Log L was developed to have the same characteristics as Cineon, which is a characteristic curve for film digitization.

With the DMW-SFU1 V-Log Update code, V-Log L can be recorded with the DMC-GH4 / GH5, allowing exceptional flexibility in video recording. The function enables the later translation of dynamic and colorfast images into the desired final color scheme in post-production. A dynamic range of 12 stops is also made possible. This allows you to record very dark scenes and avoid details in very bright environments. V-Log and V-Log L have the same characteristic curve and the translation parameters (= LookUpTable) can be shared with other ProAV cameras, such as the AG-DVX200.

Please note: The firmware of the DMC-GH4 must be updated to version 2.4 in order to use this function. Refer to the product manual for the activation procedure.
