The wide viewing angle at 20mm makes this lens extremely suitable for locations where space is limited, and 60mm is ideal for portraits, for example. The Lumix S 20-60mm F3.5/5.6 has a minimum focus distance of only 15 centimeters and you can also capture smooth video images without any problems. This is made possible by a mechanism that suppresses focus breathing. The optical construction consists of 11 lenses in 9 groups and the use of two aspherical lenses and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses suppresses both axial chromatic aberration and chromatic aberration from magnification.
The Panasonic Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 is a prime lens with a large maximum aperture of f/1.8 that is suitable for the L-mount system. This lens is the second addition of four lenses in the Lumix S-series that are the same size and the position of the controls are the same, which is very practical to use. The optical construction of the Lumix S 50mm f/1.9 consists of nine lens elements in eight groups, including three aspherical lenses, an ED (Extra Low Dispersion) lens and a UHR (Ultra-High Refractive Index) lens. The three aspherical lenses provide both excellent image reproduction and beautiful bokeh effects. The ED lens effectively minimizes chromatic aberration. The nine-bladed circular diaphragm allows for very beautiful round shapes in a blurred background when the aperture is wide open.
