The SmallRig Night Eagle Cage Kit is designed for creators who want to film and photograph comfortably from low angles with the Nikon Z 8. The cage protects your camera and expands it with a large number of mounting points. The design matches the classic style of the Z 8: dark brown curves with gold lines, a gold ring, red markings, and retro leather.

The kit consists of a cage, a handgrip, a detachable cold shoe, and an HDMI and USB-C cable clamp. With the cable clamp, you press and flip the clamp over, so you open the interface cover without disassembling anything. This prevents a cable from coming loose by accident and ensures a stable connection. You place the cold shoe on both sides and on the top of the cage, and a locating pin prevents it from sitting crooked. This lets you mount an LED light or microphone. The ergonomic handgrip sits comfortably in your hand and contains hidden 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, and two M2.5 screws.

In addition, the cage has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw holes, ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes, a NATO rail, an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate, a QD socket, and strap slots. Please note: remove the camera strap from both sides of the camera before mounting the cage. The cage is compatible with the WR-R11a remote controller.
