The SWIT S-1173FS, 17" FHD Studio Monitor with waveform features a 17.3-inch IPS (In-Plane Switching) LCD panel with a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and LED backlighting. The contrast ratio is 700:1 for accurate colour rendering. The viewing angle is 160° horizontal and 160° vertical.

Waveform / Vectorscope / Histogram

The S-1173F supports video analysis assistance patterns, including: Waveform (Y/Pb/Pr/R/G/B), Vectorscope, and Histogram (R/G/B/Y), to display digital video quality information (Luma, Colour, Saturation, etc.). These can be adapted to patterns, and each pattern can be switched on or off individually. The display position (Up/Down/Left/Right), size, colour, and transparency can all be configured.

The S-1173F supports built-in audio meters for SDI 16-channel and HDMI 8-channel signals, complete with markers and warning indicators for abnormal audio signals. Users can also select two audio channels for output via the 3.5 mm jack or speakers. The position of the audio meter pattern can be set to Up/Down/Left/Right, and you can choose to display just 2 channels, 8 channels, or all 16 channels. Scale markers, warning information, and the transparency of the audio meter pattern are also selectable.

The S-1173F supports UMD and text tally display in accordance with the TSL 3.1/4.0 protocol, with selection of 1–126 TSL addresses and up to 8 characters. UMD inputs are via an RS485 or RS232C port, and outputs via an RS485 port.

Supports precise 17x17x17 3D LUT colour calibration. Use a professional colour analyser (e.g. KONICA MINOLTA CA310) and 3D LUT calibration software (e.g. SpectralCal CalMAN5) to measure and generate a 3D LUT cube file, which can then be uploaded to the monitor via a USB stick. The monitor also features built-in camera log to Rec 709 conversion LUTs, including Log-C, C-Log, S-Log2, S-Log3, V-Log, J-Log1, and RedLogFilm. You can import your own 3D LUTs to the monitor via a USB stick.

The S-1173F provides a standard USB port for firmware upgrades. Users can download the latest firmware file to a USB stick and insert it directly into the S-1173F monitor to perform the upgrade — no PC connection required.
