The silver side reflects sunlight on particularly warm days, while the black side ensures the bag attracts less attention. The rain cover can also be used as a ground sheet on wet, muddy, or dirty surfaces. Because the cover is not attached to the bag, it can easily be washed in cold water and air-dried. The rain cover can be stored in its own sewn-in pouch, making it easy to take along.
