Braun Wildlife camera 1321 WiFi Solar 4K DS
A second 2-megapixel sensor with a wider field of view of 93 degrees handles night shots, using two 850-nanometre IR LEDs with a range of up to 20 metres. This combination guarantees detailed documentation, 24 hours a day.
Power is supplied by a 5,200 mAh battery, which is continuously charged by the solar panel (5V/1A). With a standby consumption of just 0.25 milliamps, this enables a runtime of approximately twelve months – a virtually self-sufficient system for remote locations and long-term monitoring projects.
The motion detection system is based on three PIR sensors with a detection angle of 120 degrees and a trigger speed of 0.5 seconds. Sensor sensitivity can be adjusted in three steps, and trigger intervals can be programmed from five seconds to 60 minutes. Burst shooting captures up to ten photos per trigger, while timelapse shooting works with intervals of five seconds to 24 hours. Programmable recording periods and a loop recording function – where the oldest recordings are replaced by new ones once the memory card is full – complete the feature set.
Wi-Fi connectivity (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth enable wireless data transfer, configuration, and live preview within the camera's Wi-Fi range of approximately 10 metres. The 2.4-inch TFT LCD colour screen allows direct on-device operation. Recordings are stored on SD cards of up to 256 gigabytes (JPG/MP4). An integrated microphone and speaker complete the audio components.
Video recording offers formats from 4K to 2.7K, 2K, 1080p, 720p, and other resolutions, with 2K and 1080p also available at 60 frames per second. Video lengths between five and 180 seconds can be set, and the night sensor enables recordings of up to 1296p at 30 frames per second. Automatic exposure and selectable shutter speeds (1/15 to 1/30 second) optimise image quality.
The IP66 housing (163 x 112 x 76 mm, 458 grams) withstands temperatures from -20 to +60 degrees Celsius. It can be mounted using a strap, tree mount, or 1/4-inch tripod thread. Openings for a cable lock and padlock, as well as protection via a four-digit password, provide additional security.
The time, date, moon phase, and temperature are displayed automatically – invaluable for evaluation purposes. The USB-C interfaces are used for data transfer (connection to the camera) and power supply (connection to the battery). The 1321 comes supplied with a USB-C cable, fastening strap, tree mount, and user manual.
