With the Explore Scientific Solarix Solar Filter Film A4 you can safely observe solar eclipses, surface details of the sun and sunspots. Planetary transits, passing aircraft and satellites can also be observed. This high-quality Solar Filter meets the strictest requirements (DIN EN ISO 12312-2: 2015-11) and has been performance-tested in Germany. The filter is 100% certified for safe observation of the sun. Explore Scientific's Solarix Filter is flexible and very robust so that the filter can be cut to size for use while observing with a Telescope, Binoculars or sunglasses. The filter produces a very pleasant yellow/orange image of the sun. The Explore Scientific Solarix Solar Filter blocks 99.999% of sunlight, including all UV and IR wavelengths.

The Solar Film comes with a cardboard Sheet with templates for creating a personalised solar filter and sunglasses. Also included is a handy insert sheet explaining how to handle the filter. To get started building the sun filter or sunglasses right away, you will need double-sided tape, universal glue and a pair of paper scissors in addition to the included parts.
