The Hoya 37mm HDX CIR-PL is a top-quality circular polarizing filter that will continue to perform in any situation. The polarizing filter is made of extra tempered glass and therefore has 4x the tensile strength of traditional filters. The filter is specially made for the current digital market, in which the sensors are more sensitive to reflected light than in the analog time. The Hoya HDX filter is equipped with special coatings on both sides that reduce internal reflections and filters out UV cast and thus produces a more saturated and sharper image. The 8-layer multi-coating on both sides of this polarization filter ensures maximum optical performance and light transmittance of no less than 99.4% (and no less than 25% more light transmittance than regular polarization filters). This multi-layer coating also ensures that the filter is water, dirt, and scratch-resistant, making it more pleasant to use and longer-lasting.

The mount is made of highly durable black anodized aluminum, which completely seals the filter glass so that moisture and light cannot penetrate unwantedly. This mount is also extra thin so that you do not suffer from vignetting, as is the case with a large proportion of the cheaper filters. This makes it extremely suitable for use with wide-angle lenses.
