The paper has a bright white PE base and produces enlargements with deep, rich blacks, brilliant whites, and excellent tonal rendition. The image tone is neutral under all viewing conditions. The high quality of ILFOSPEED RC DeLuxe is the result of advanced emulsion technology based on controlled crystal growth.

Enlargements on ILFOSPEED RC DeLuxe are distinguished in particular by their excellent highlight rendition. This characteristic is highly valued by many experienced darkroom technicians, as it allows enlargements to be made on paper with a slightly higher contrast, enabling highlight contrast to be controlled with minimal corrections.

ILFOSPEED RC DeLuxe is equally suited to conventional black-and-white negatives and ILFORD XP2 Super Negatives, and is available in three evenly spaced contrast grades. Three surface finishes are available: 1M (glossy), 24M (semi-matt), and 44M (pearl). ILFOSPEED RC DeLuxe can be processed in trays as well as in automatic paper processing machines. It is not, however, suitable for processing with activator/stabiliser.
