The Kowa Spotting Scope TSN-99A Prominar Kit with TE-11WZ II WA Eyepiece is Kowa's new flagship model and consists of the Kowa TSN-99A spotting scope body and the Kowa TE-11WZ II 30-70x Zoom eyepiece. The TSN-99A features a large 99 mm pure fluorite crystal objective lens that, combined with a Kowa XD lens, delivers superior low-light performance. This special combination, combined with enhanced optical coatings, virtually eliminates all chromatic aberration, even at high magnification. Because the TSN-99A is equipped with a dual focusing mechanism, the image can be focused faster and more accurately in just a few smooth revolutions. The fine focusing mechanism provides the final control to view the image razor-sharp.

Because the Kowa TSN-99A uses a 100% magnesium alloy, it is a compact and lightweight spotting scope. The TSN-99A is easy to carry and has a fully waterproof and nitrogen-filled housing with Kowa KR coating on the optics. This makes the scope reliable and robust.

This kit comes with the Kowa TE-11WZ II wide-angle eyepiece. This eyepiece has a magnification of 30x-70x and features two XD lenses, providing images with excellent sharpness. The eyepiece is fully waterproof and features a three-position Twist-up eyepiece ring. This allows you to adjust the distance between your eye and the eyepiece. In this way, both glasses and non-glasses wearers have a pleasant viewing experience.

Chromatic aberration occurs due to light scattering and different wavelengths of light concentrating at different positions, which can result in a red or purple edge around the subject. The optimum optical material to minimise chromatic aberration is fluorite crystal. A fluorite crystal with extremely low dispersion characteristics is used for the convex lens of the TSN-99A/99S. Instead of an ordinary optical glass lens, the concave lens combined with the fluorite crystal lens is made of glass with special dispersive properties. This further reduces chromatic aberration. This combination virtually eliminates chromatic aberration and redefines colour brilliance standards.

Fluorite crystal is used exclusively in Kowa's top models.
