The Leofoto GC-404C Geared centre column for 100 mm tripod plate can be used with tripods from which you can remove the 100 mm tripod plate, such as the larger Summit series tripods. A geared centre column is extremely useful when you want to set the height with exact precision. Adjusting accurately with a normal centre column can sometimes be tricky if you have a heavy camera mounted on the ball head. With the rotary crank of the GC-404C from Leofoto, you adjust the height by 14 mm with each complete swing.

This geared centre column is very stable and strong, so it can be used with any current Leofoto tripod. The maximum weight the GC-404C can carry is therefore equal to the maximum carrying weight of the tripod and placed tripod head. Regardless of the weight of your camera, the height remains easily and precisely adjustable. There is a 63 mm platform to mount a tripod head at either end of the centre column. The GC-404C geared center colomn is milled from CNC aircraft aluminium, has a length of 480 mm and weighs 797 grams.

Easy to install

After removing the video plate from the tripod, lower the geared centre column into the cleared space. Here, the rotary crank must be turned in its entirety in the direction of the centre column. This is easily done by pulling off the black top of the crank and turning it a quarter turn. After installing, secure the centre column using the grey wing nut.
