Magewell USB Capture SDI 4K Pro

The Magewell USB Capture SDI 4K Pro connects to your computer via a USB-C 3.2 interface, enabling high-quality video capture at resolutions up to DCI 4K at 60 fps, depending on your system's capabilities. Designed for professional workflows, the device features a 12G-SDI input for capturing video from broadcast cameras, switchers and other SDI sources. It supports embedded SDI audio and includes a 3.5mm input/output for recording external audio or extracting audio from SDI signals. Compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS platforms, it requires no driver installation.

Please note: Use only the supplied Magewell USB cable, as it has been specifically designed for this device. Using other cables may cause capture issues or even damage the device.

  • SDI supports up to 8 mono channels at 24-bit/192 kHz; analogue audio in/out via 3.5 mm connector supports dual-channel IEC60958 streams
  • Built-in pipeline of ~700 megapixel/s enables scaling, de-interlacing, format conversion and colour space adjustments with minimal CPU load
  • Driver-free plug-and-play – UVC-compatible; automatically detects input format and works without drivers on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS
  • Requires USB-C connection of ~20 Gbps for 4K60/4:2:2 capture with full bandwidth, but is backwards compatible with USB 3.1/3.0
  • No external power required; a single USB cable provides power and data, with consumption of ~4.3 W
  • Comprehensive software support – includes USB Capture Utility plus SDKs (DirectShow, V4L2, AVFoundation, etc.), and works with OBS, VLC, vMix, Zoom, etc.
