The Meike Extension Tube Set (Sony E-mount) consists of two extension tubes that significantly enhance the macro capabilities of your existing lenses without compromising on quality. When using the TTL metering system, no exposure compensation is required. Autofocus also continues to work when using the AF drive. The rings feature a metal lens mount.

This two-piece extension tube set from Meike makes the small world big — ideal for macro photography. An extension tube is placed between the lens and the camera body, allowing you to get closer to your subject and capture it at a larger size in your shot. An extension tube is hollow, containing no optical elements, so the quality of your lens remains completely unchanged. Extension tubes work best with a telephoto lens. All automatic functions of the camera are retained. The set consists of two separate parts that can be used independently or together, giving you a choice of 10 mm, 16 mm, or 26 mm — letting you get progressively closer to your subject.

An extension tube increases the distance between the camera's image sensor and the rear element of the lens. This shortens the minimum focusing distance of the lens, making it possible to focus at a closer range. As a result, the subject is projected larger onto the sensor than it would be without the extension tube. An extension tube therefore increases the magnification factor of a lens. This can be calculated using the following formula: maximum magnification with extension tube = lens magnification + (mm extension tube ÷ focal length).
