The PolarPro Shortstache - Black Mist - Polarizer 82mm is the result of a collaboration with Garrett King, also known as Shortstache. PolarPro and Shortstache have created a unique filter combination that embodies Shortstache's signature photo aesthetic: a Polarizer + Black Mist. Considered the 'Everyday filter', it is one that combines two sought-after effects and one that can stay on your lens. The Circular Polariser aspect gives the image a sharp, clean look, while the subtle mist diffusion adds a slight flourish to the highlights, bringing back a touch of cinematic character. Each filter is finished in Shortstache's favourite shade of matte green, which suits his production style and subtly adds to the look of your kit.

The combined effects of this filter

EveryDay 1/4 Strength - Black Mist provides subtle halation and blooming of highlights while maintaining depth in shadows/blacks. This gives the image extra dimension and character in-camera.

Mist + PL 1/2 Strength creates a more stylised cinematic look with a stronger effect. This causes light sources to bloom, giving the image even more dimension than the Everyday version. Emulates a look similar to cinematic films.

The combination of a polarising filter for powerful reflection reduction and Black Mist to soften highlights creates a subtle look, from film photography to commercial video shooting.
