The Samyang AF 24-60mm f/2.8 lens (Sony FE) is a lightweight, fast all-round zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras from Sony, designed for everyday use without compromising on image quality. It's suitable for landscapes, lifestyle and portraits, with a constant aperture of f/2.8 delivering reliable low-light performance and smooth subject separation, while keeping your camera compact at just 494 grams and a length of 102–126 mm.

The optical design, developed in collaboration with Schneider-Kreuznach, combines three HR, two ED and three aspherical elements with Samyang's UMC coating to control aberrations and maintain crisp contrast and colour across the entire frame. A 9-blade aperture produces a pleasing, rounded bokeh. For both stills and video, a linear STM drive delivers fast, silent autofocus with reliable subject tracking, and an AF/MF switch provides quick access to manual fine-tuning when needed.

Close-up work is a strong suit: focus as close as 0.18 m at 24 mm for a magnification of 0.27×, or 0.32 m at 60 mm for a magnification of 0.25×, making detailed shots straightforward without changing lenses. The robust aluminium lens cylinder is IP5X dust- and splash-resistant and features a water- and oil-repellent coating, while a practical 72 mm front thread keeps filters easy to use.
