The Sealife SportDiver 52mm Wide Angle Dome Lens (for SportDiver SL081 Lens Holder and other 52mm thread mount housings or ports) attaches to the smartphone housing with its 52mm thread mount to the SportDiver SL081 lens adapter. The lens can also be attached to other underwater cameras and housings using a 52mm thread mount. This increases the field of view of the phone or camera by 43% and allows photographers to get two times closer to the subject.

The design of the SportDiver Wide Angle Dome Lens uses high-quality optics arranged in a 4-element/4-group array that delivers sharp edge-to-edge sharpness. The internal elements are fully multi-coated optical glass. The dome lens is optical polycarbonate with a hard, scratch-resistant coating.

The lens has an effective focal length of 18.2 mm film equivalent when used with a 26 mm phone or camera lens. The lens is waterproof up to 60 metres.

The SportDiver Wide Angle Dome Lens is a "wet lens" and can be easily attached and removed underwater. A locking ring prevents the lens from accidentally detaching when bumped or in rougher water conditions. The lens weighs 329 grams and has negative buoyancy. A lanyard is included to prevent loss underwater, the lens screws onto the SeaLife SportDiver Lens Adapter (SL081). The rotating hood prevents unwanted glare from external lighting or sunlight and protects the domed lens from impact and wear.
