SEETEC S24 23.8" 12G-SDI Monitor
The SEETEC S24 23.8" 12G-SDI monitor is a professional broadcast monitor for those who demand absolute reliability and accuracy. With a large 23.8-inch Full HD panel, support for 12G-SDI, and comprehensive monitoring tools, this is a solid choice for studios, production trucks, and high-end productions where signal integrity and colour rendering are critical.
The SEETEC S24 23.8" 12G-SDI monitor features 4x 12G-SDI inputs and outputs, supports signals up to 8K via 12G-SDI quad-link, with UHD 3840x2160 and a large screen with a wide colour gamut — delivering unprecedented smooth performance and unrivalled image quality for a truly immersive audiovisual experience. Multi-view modes allow the director to monitor multiple cameras in a busy film crew without connecting multiple monitors. Connect to your computer to control the monitor remotely via the dedicated app. The S24 also comes with standard VESA mounting points for wall mounting, making it ideal for a busy broadcast control room. The S24 can be used extensively in pre-shooting and post-colour grading workflows for broadcast, film and television, and high-end commercial productions.
The S24 supports 12G-SDI signal link 4K signals, 3G-SDI quad-link 4K signals, and quad-link 12G-SDI 8K signals (combining four 4K 60Hz video signals into a single 8K 60Hz video signal). A single unit meets all workflow requirements — from live streaming in a broadcast studio to multi-view monitoring — reducing system complexity and cabling costs.
Equipped with a 23.8-inch ultra HD large screen supporting 3840x2160 4K resolution, with a pixel density four times that of Full HD, the result is a more detailed image quality. With a DCI-P3 98.7% colour gamut, colours are rendered more realistically — comparable to cinema-grade image quality — and with a wide 178° (H/V) viewing angle, there is virtually no colour shift from any angle.
Features several calibrated colour spaces — BT.709, DCI-P3, and BT.2020 — to choose from, meeting the varied colour requirements of the cinematographer.
The screen can be set to single, PBP, full-wave, PIP, quad, and 8K modes. You can select and switch between any input signal — 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0, and 12G-SFP — and adjust image zoom, freeze, mirror, LUT selection, and more (except in 8K mode). This covers a wide range of monitoring needs.
A significant new addition to the S24 is the EL Zone system, designed by cinematographer Ed Lachman, ASC. This is an innovative tool for displaying exposure values using stops. EL Zone is similar to false colour but offers greater precision, improved consistency, and more intuitive communication on set. EL Zone is designed for camera operators, who can see the true and accurate dynamic range of the scene — colour-coded in stops — directly from the camera. It is ideal for assessing exposure in both HDR and SDR productions. It is an established industry standard and the best way to view colour-coded exposure on a monitor.
The LUT loading function makes colour calibration simpler and more intuitive, optimising the workflow and improving working efficiency during the early stages of filming. You can use the built-in LOG or upload .cube files to define your own creative look — whatever you prefer. Simply save the LUT file to the root directory of a USB drive and insert it into the device's USB interface (up to 50 custom files can be imported).
The monitor can extract audio from SDI and HDMI. It supports the selection of 2 audio channels for output via a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Under SDI audio, it supports up to 16-channel built-in audio meters. Under HDMI audio, 4 audio channels are supported.
When you're busy on location, you need to be able to operate your equipment with ease — and the S24 is perfectly suited for this. Switch signal sources with a single button press; three customisable shortcut keys (F1–F5) allow you to pre-assign frequently used functions based on actual shooting requirements; the USER button lets you pre-configure 5 groups of user menus, enabling faster adjustments and improved on-set efficiency.
Equipped with 12G-SDI, 12G SFP, and HDMI 2.0 interfaces, it supports signals up to 4096x2160P (60/50/30/29.97/25/24/23.98 Hz) and 3840x2160P (60/59.94/50/30/29.97/25/24/23.98 Hz). In addition, the S24 also offers LAN, RS485, and GPI control interfaces to meet a variety of needs. The 12G SFP interface — which allows 12G-SDI signals to be transmitted via an SFP fibre optic module — is compatible with most broadcast applications. (Fibre optic module is optional.)
