The Sirui R-2204 Reporter Tripod is a carbon fiber powerhouse. The Reporters are Sirui's "heavy hitters," not so much in weight, but in strength and durability and, above all, in deployability.

Power house

The Sirui R-2204 Reporter Tripod pulls its weight when it comes to strength, durability and usability. The flat shoulder construction makes this tripod ideal for both film and photography. By replacing the mounting plate for a universal plate, such as a bowl adapter or balance plate, you can turn the tripod into an easy to level video tripod.

In order to support not just lightweight DSLRs, but also heavier video camera, the legs have an impressive 36-mm diameter. As such, it can easily handle a load of up to 15 kg.

Unusually low angles

The centre column can be reversed, for recording from unusually low angles. The integrated bubble level helps to straighten the composition. For speed and convenience, each leg has an automatic leg angle lock mechanism.
