The SmallRig 5583 Cage with Airtag Slot for Sony Alpha 7R V / 7 IV / 7S III / 1 / 7R IV offers solid Protection, versatile mounting options, and a built-in AirTag slot for camera tracking. The cage attaches securely via a bottom 1/4"-20 screw and a side mounting block, enabling an anti-deflection attachment without removing the camera's triangular eyelets. The integrated AirTag slot provides seamless camera tracking for safe operation. In addition, a hinged flap at the battery compartment improves grip by offering extra support for the little finger.

The cage features multiple mounting points, including 1/4"-20 screw holes, 3/8"-16 ARRI mounting holes, and a "HawkLock" NATO rail for quick attachment of accessories such as side handles (SmallRig ID 4485) and top handles (SmallRig ID 4483). A built-in cold shoe mount is compatible with devices such as the DJI Mic 2 or lights, while a QD connector on the bottom is suitable for attaching a Shoulder strap. The base is also equipped with a magnetic hex key, enabling quick assembly and disassembly.

The bottom Quick-release plate, combined with the "HawkLock" H38 Arca-Swiss Quick-release plate (SmallRig ID 4486), enables fast mounting with an automatic locking mechanism. The integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release plate ensures seamless transitions between handheld, tripod, and gimbal setups (compatible with DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro).
