The SmallRig cage kit for the Sony FX6 4124 is lightweight, compact and designed to attach accessories and provide protection. The kit consists of a top plate, a V-holder battery plate, a side plate, a base plate and a power cable. Overall, the kit matches the Sony FX6 well in terms of the look and colour of the design. The rear V-holder battery plate along with the power cable secures the battery for an additional power source for extended operating time.

It can be slid up and locked to facilitate memory card replacement and BP-U battery installation. The removable side plate, when mounted at the back, leaves room for the original handle and supports the microphone, video transmitter, etc.; and, when mounted on the front, helps balance the camera when shooting vertically. The base plate performs better than just a quick release plate to protect the camera from overheating. In addition, a flat screwdriver and an Allen wrench are included for easy installation and removal.
