Tascam CA-XLR2d-N XLR microphone adapter
The Tascam CA-XLR2d-N XLR microphone adapter for Nikon is a two-channel microphone adapter and preamplifier that allows external microphones to be used for recording high-quality professional stereo audio with a mirrorless camera or other camera. The audio signal is transferred directly to the camera — digitally or analogue — and recorded together with the video signal, eliminating the need for post-production synchronisation and reducing editing time.
Choose the right microphone or input to suit your application. From a single directional microphone for interviews or dialogue, to two dynamic or condenser microphones for stereo imaging, or a full audio mix fed from the main mixer via a line-level connection — the CA-XLR2d has you fully prepared for any recording or film assignment.
When used with a compatible model, digital audio is sent directly to the camera via the Hot shoe.

By sending a digital audio signal directly to the camera via a compatible Hot shoe, no second conversion step is required that could introduce noise or distortion. You also won't need to synchronise picture and sound in post-production.
The CA-XLR2d is powered by a compatible camera via the Hot shoe, meaning no additional power supply is needed and your setup stays compact and tidy (compatible manufacturers: Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon). Additional equipment can easily be mounted to the cold shoe on top of the Tascam CA-XLR2d.
Dynamic and condenser microphones with XLR, standard jack, or mini-jack connections can be connected to the Tascam CA-XLR2d.
Use the microphones and other equipment you need for your session. The CA-XLR2d is flexible enough to work with the microphones and equipment required for your specific film shoot. The cold shoe on top is vibration-resistant, low-noise, and accommodates your favourite microphone or a wireless receiver or transmitter. Two XLR/TRS inputs and one 3.5 mm stereo mini-input are available for virtually any dynamic or condenser handheld microphone, shotgun microphone, lavalier microphone, or other microphone.
