The bright, light-friendly optics of the Thypoch Full-frame Simera 28mm f/1.4 Type II lens for Leica M mount in the colour silver are housed in a slim aluminium body for high-quality images in a wide range of shooting scenarios. The large aperture also enhances depth-of-field effects such as bokeh and separation of subject and background. Thanks to a snap-off aperture ring and focusing tab, the lens' manual focus design is both tactile and manageable. The optical design features an extra-low dispersion element, two high refractive index elements and an aspherical element for clarity from the centre to the edge of the image. The Simera 28mm f/1.4 Type II version is ergonomically designed with a comfortable focusing tab, ensuring smooth focusing with één finger for seamless operation.

Thanks to its ability to shoot with a bright f/1.4 aperture, you are assured of high-quality images even in adverse lighting conditions. The Aperture with 14 blades of the lens createsëer circular bokeh that creates a soft and pleasing frame for your subject, which is particularly useful for portraits. When capturing subjects up close, a minimum focusing distance of 40 cm is available.

When you turn the lens to 0.7m, you feel a damping that warns you that the lens' focusing distance threatens to exceed the camera body's limit.

The Simera 28mm f/1.4 comes with a retro-ïnspired, square Lens hood that is anodised to prevent scratches. The thread on the inside of the lens hood ensures sharper images by blocking unwanted light.
