The side plate enables quick transitions to vertical setups, as it can be used as a base plate when the camera is mounted vertically, providing sufficient clearance between the rods and the lens for most accessories. In this configuration, the plate features specially positioned threads to align the base plate with the optical centre of the lens.

This side plate also supports external recording via the integrated SSD holder and features multiple 1/4"-20 threaded connections for various accessories. The SSD holder accommodates hard drives with a width of 52 mm to 60 mm and a thickness of less than 12 mm.

Both the top and bottom plates are designed to avoid contact with the housing's ventilation openings, ensuring the camera's cooling performance is not affected. The top plate is compatible with the original PYXIS handle and features a removable 3/8" to 1/4" thread adapter, allowing users to choose different handles that best suit various configurations.

The base kit includes the Xeno handle, which is attached to the top plate via a NATO rail. This improves handling and usability thanks to a sleek design with more room. The handle offers multiple mounting options for additional accessories, including 1/4"-20 threads and a cold shoe receiver, perfect for mounting an external monitor.

The included 15 mm LWS base plate and two 15 mm rods allow the camera to be mounted on a rod system. Accessories such as matte boxes or follow focus systems can be attached. On the underside of the base plate is a Tilta Standard Dovetail receiver, which can be adapted for use with Arri Standard Dovetails via our optional Tilta Standard to Arri Standard multifunctional base plate.

The battery plate can be easily inserted and clicked into the battery compartment of the Pyxis to power the camera, and can be further secured to the top plate with a thumbscrew. The battery plate features 2x 14.8V P-Tap ports, 1x 14.8V 2-pin Lemo port, 1x USB-C port, and a DC power input.
