The Ulanzi FOLD QS30 Quick Release Octagonal Softbox 30cm is a compact, octagonal softbox with a 30 cm opening and Mini Bowens mount. Thanks to its quick-release design, the softbox opens in one movement and folds flat again after the shoot. Ideal for catchlights, rim-light and handheld fill lighting for portrait, product and vlogging shots.

Ulanzi FOLD QS30 Quick Release Octagonal Softbox 30cm

Weighing just 0.3 kg and folding down to fit in the included storage case, the QS30 is ideal for handheld use and mobile setups. Its compact dimensions make it a great choice as a fill light alongside a key light, as a rim light at close range, or as a top light for product detail shots.

The quick-release mechanism makes setup virtually effortless. One press and the softbox springs open into an octagonal shape; after the shoot, you fold it flat again in just a few steps. This lets you switch between setups quickly and keep the pace up on location.

The QS30 features a Mini Bowens mount and is compatible with multiple lights within the Ulanzi ecosystem, making it easy to combine with your existing Ulanzi lighting for a consistent lighting design.

In addition to the diffusion cloth, a honeycomb grid is included. This allows you to narrow the light beam and reduce spill — useful for catchlights, directional rim lighting, or when you want to keep the background dark. Both accessories attach with Velcro for quick changes during a shoot.
