The Canon EOS R6 V is a compact full-frame mirrorless camera developed specifically for content creators who want to capture both razor-sharp photos and cinematic video footage. The EOS R6 V is built around a 32.5-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and is fully optimised for high-quality video production.

Shoot in 7K Open Gate

Thanks to the powerful DIGIC X image processor, the R6 V can capture footage in 7K resolution at 60 fps in RAW format. Images contain an enormous amount of data, giving you maximum flexibility during post-processing. The R6 V can shoot in 4K up to 120 fps, and in 2K and Full HD up to 180 fps. The Open Gate format is ideal for content creators who want to share their footage across multiple platforms. The camera shoots using the entire sensor in a 3:2 aspect ratio, allowing you to crop your recordings afterwards to 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for social media, or any other ratio — without sacrificing image quality. The camera features customisable picture profiles, including multiple Canon Log presets for additional colour control.

Keep your subject in focus at all times

The Canon EOS R6 V focuses using Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with a working range of EV -6.5 to 21, making autofocus reliable even in low-light conditions. The camera automatically recognises people, animals, and vehicles, and tracks eyes, faces, heads, and bodies. Using the Register People Priority function, you can pre-register up to 10 individuals, so the camera gives them priority when focusing. For handheld filming, the Canon EOS R6 V offers 5-axis IBIS of up to 7.5 stops, helping to reduce camera shake and deliver smoother footage.

Active cooling for long shoots

The Canon EOS R6 V has received a significant upgrade thanks to active cooling. The camera is equipped with a fan and ventilation grilles that help keep the temperature stable during intensive use, reducing the risk of overheating when recording at high resolution for extended periods.

Equally capable for photography

The Canon EOS R6 V is video-focused, but it is certainly no slouch when it comes to photography. The 32.5-megapixel CMOS sensor delivers detailed images with plenty of room for cropping in post. The electronic shutter lets you shoot at up to 40 frames per second, making it easier to capture fast action and moving subjects. Thanks to internal 12-bit RAW recording, you retain a wealth of image information for post-processing and colour correction.

The Canon EOS R6 V weighs just 598 grams and is fully dust- and weather-resistant. The body is compact and ergonomic, featuring 12 customisable buttons and a tilting 7.5 cm touchscreen with a resolution of 1.62 million dots. The Canon EOS R6 V is compatible with all Canon RF and RF-S lenses. The camera also features a built-in microphone and supports four-channel audio via a combination of the multi-function shoe and an external microphone. Via UVC/UAC streaming, you can use the camera directly as a webcam or live stream source in 4K 60 fps, without any additional software on your computer. Wireless connectivity is provided via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. The USB connection is a SuperSpeed Plus USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C for fast file transfer and charging.
