Sensational sharpness
The Sony A7C R features the high-quality Exmor R CMOS sensor with back-illuminated technology, now familiar from the A7R V. Combined with the Bionz XR image processor, the improved sensor delivers a razor-sharp resolution of 61 megapixels. Images are so sharp that you still have excellent resolution even after cropping.
Smart, fast focus
The AI-based autofocus is smart, fast, and quiet. With 693 focus points and 79% coverage, your subject is always in focus. The new, smart system also recognizes subjects without faces, ideal for moving and fast subjects. People, animals, birds, airplanes, and insects are all accurately tracked. For real action moments, shoot in burst mode at up to 8fps with AE and AF tracking on.
Even in low-light conditions, the A7C R delivers exceptional performance, with high AF precision down to light levels of EV -4.0. The 7-stop IBIS also ensures comfortable working in poor lighting conditions. Vibrations are effectively reduced so you can shoot handheld with long shutter speeds. Focus breathing is also significantly reduced, ideal for taking super-sharp photos using focus stacking.
Video performance
The A7C R films in 4K resolution at 60fps with a 1.2x crop. In Super 35 film format, you can use a 4K option with 6.2k oversampling at up to 30 frames per second. You can film smooth slow motion in Full HD at 120 fps.
Handheld filming is easier with the addition of Active Mode. Active Mode, known from the A7R V, provides extra stabilization during all your film recordings. Breathing Compensation ensures that your angle of view remains stable when changing the focus distance. Focusing is precise and efficient thanks to AF assist and the Focus Map option. With the Auto Framing function, your subject is always prominently in the frame. AI-based subject recognition technology automatically crops the frame when shooting videos.
For crystal-clear audio, audio recordings with a digital audio interface are supported for up to four channels. With an external recorder, the A7C R has a 16-bit RAW output via HDMI for the purest form of footage.
Creative control
With the A7C R, you retain complete creative control and can create your images exactly as you want them. If you're looking for cinematic images, you can get started with Sony's well-known color and style profiles such as S-cinetone and Creative Look. For extra color precision, you can customize your images with color-grading LUTs. For natural skin tones in portrait photography, the camera has the Natural & Smooth Skin function.

The Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD Sony FE is a compact and lightweight all-in-one zoom lens. The lens offers a fairly large zoom range from wide angle to telephoto, making it very versatile. The precisely positioned special lens elements are specially designed for the ever-increasing resolutions of today's digital cameras. Excellent optical performance is guaranteed with this lens across the entire zoom range.
It is the world's first all-in-one zoom with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 at 28mm. In addition, the largest apertures in the intermediate zoom range are f/3.5 at 50mm, f/5 at 100mm, and f/5.6 at 150 to 200mm. The lens contains a generous number of special lens elements to effectively minimize chromatic and other aberrations, including GM (Glass Molded Aspherical), hybrid aspherical, XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion), and LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements. In addition, the BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coating offers powerful anti-reflection properties to effectively reduce ghosting and flare, resulting in sharp and high-contrast images.
The 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 is ideal for close-up photography. At 28mm, the shortest focusing distance is only 19 centimeters, achieving a maximum image scale of 1:3.1. With the large f/2.8 aperture, you can create beautifully blurred backgrounds while staying close to your subject. Even in telephoto mode, the close-up capability is remarkable, with a minimum focusing distance of just 80 centimeters (a maximum image magnification of 1:3.8). This allows you to take beautiful, full-frame photos of butterflies and flowers, for example.
The lens features a new AF drive system, and thanks to the Tamron RXD focus motor, focusing is virtually silent. This makes this zoom lens ideal for video recording.
