The Tamron 150-500 mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD is an ideal ultra-telephoto zoom lens for the full-frame E-mount cameras. In the 150 mm position, this lens offers a very short minimum focusing distance of only 0.6 m. In the 500 mm mode, the focus distance is at least 1.8 m. This ensures that you can take excellent close-ups of special actions during sport, or capture beautiful animals up close while standing at a safe distance.

High quality hand-held

This lens has a focal length of up to 500 mm. Even at the extreme zoom position, this lens is comfortable and compact enough for good handheld photography. This gives you as a photographer the freedom to go out without a tripod and come home with high-quality images. To achieve this, the lens is equipped with the well-known VXD, a linear focusing motor that delivers excellent silent and fast autofocus. Good to know, you can switch within a quarter of a turn over the full zoom range, so you don't miss that important moment.

High quality in a compact format

The lens consists of 25 elements in 16 groups. Special lens elements, such as one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion), five LD (Low Dispersion) and two hybrid aspherical lens elements, thoroughly control aberrations, including axial chromatic aberrations. This ensures you can still make high-quality images with great ease of use.

VXD AF motor provides high speed and precision in silence

This lens's AF motor continuously deliver extremely fast and precise focusing. This applies for close-to-far shooting. The autofocus has mainly been improved for capturing moving subjects. Think of birds, planes and athletes. By capturing this properly, your images get that well-known dramatic effect because you capture the right moments on the plate in which the full action is visible. In addition, the linear motor also reduces the operating noise and vibrations caused during focusing, making it ideal for taking both photos and videos in low-noise environments, or when capturing shy animals.

Macro shots with the ultra telephoto zoom

In addition to capturing impressive actions, you can also get started photographing the smaller world; butterflies, insects and flowers. You can record these while keeping a good distance, so you don't disturb them.
