The Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio HD8 ISO is an all-in-één live streaming switcher for in your television studio, remote production or live location. This compact, redesigned live TV switcher is a great fit for any streaming production, offering eight 3G-SDI inputs supporting up to 1080p60 video, built-in live streaming, USB webcam support, audio mixing, chroma keyers, DVE, transitions, media players, internal recording and talkback support. This ISO model also lets you record each input into separate files, and allows remote control and integration of internet cameras. The switcher is compatible with the Blackmagic Cloud, so your programme recordings are instantly available anywhere in the world.
The switcher has an all-new button layout and is made of polycarbonate, so much lighter than its predecessor. It offers numerous layout improvements with professional buttons, LCD label displays and an easy-to-navigate button layout. If you do live production on location, the ATEM Television Studio HD8 ISO supports mobile data by connecting an Apple or Android phone to the USB port. It's also a great backup for the main Ethernet connection. Phone tethering works with the latest high-speed 5G phones and the more common 4G phones. Another great feature is that the switcher can connect to remote cameras. The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2, Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 and Blackmagic Studio Camera 6K Pro cameras can live stream in H.264 directly to the switcher. If you are connected to the local network, simply select the camera in the input menu.
The ATEM Television Studio HD8 ISO features 8 independent 3G-SDI inputs, with each input having its own dedicated standard converter. That means it is possible to convert any 1080HD or 720HD input source to the switcher's video standard, so you can run each SDI input of the switcher on a different television standard and all inputs would just work. The SDI input audio channels 1, 2, 3 and 4 can also be manually routed to different built-in audio channels in the programme and aux outputs. Moreover, you can even route audio channels 1 and 2 from the SDI inputs to the MADI digital audio output, so you can give the audio from the switcher input to an external audio engineer to mix.
