Description
Calibrite ColorChecker Grey Balance
The Calibrite ColorChecker Grey Balance is a stand-alone version of the 18% grey reference square used in the standard 24 patch ColorChecker. This grey card measures 21.6 x 27.9 cm and is the largest grey target card from the ColorChecker range, comparable to the size of the ColorChecker Classic Target. You can use the grey card in recordings, but also in post-processing. This saves you time when editing.
The Calibrite ColorChecker Grey Balance is scientifically designed to provide an accurate, uniform surface that is spectrally-neutral (reflecting equal amounts of red, blue, and green) in all types of lighting conditions. Photographers can use the ColorChecker Grey Balance as their first reference shot in a series of shots to easily correct image colour under most lighting conditions, by balancing on the average grey value.
The Calibrite ColorChecker Grey Balance enables the studio photographer to quickly set the correct studio ratio between main and fill lighting, to capture accurate colours without too much manipulation afterwards. Plus, the ColorChecker Grey Balance provides reference values that can be quickly checked and used to adjust colours within the most common image editing software packages.
ColorCheckers have been used as the leading colour reference for image makers for over 40 years now. ColorChecker cards are used to develop custom DNG profiles for workflows in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. You can also create a custom ICC camera profile for use in Capture One or other ICC software by combining the ColorChecker card with the Calibrite ColorChecker Camera Calibration software.
