The optical design includes three aspherical elements, one of which is glass-moulded and the other two precision-moulded, to control chromatic aberrations and distortions across the full zoom range. The Canon EF-M 15-45mm F/3.5-6.3 IS STM has a built-in Optical Image Stabilizer to minimalise camera movement with up to 3.5 stops. The built-in STM stepper motor provides a fast, easy and silent autofocus performance for photos and videos. For more control, there is a full-time manual focus available for achieving fine focus.
