With an impressive zoom range of 100-400mm equivalent focal length, with 2x digital zoom possible, this streamlined camera is ideal for handheld birdwatching, wildlife viewing and even sports subjects. A 12MP CMOS sensor records both stills and Full HD 1080p video at up to 30fps, and continuous autofocus helps keep subjects sharp. Video recording is further benefited by a built-in microphone and Face Tracking AF when working with human subjects. What's more, image stabilization benefits both stills and movies by reducing camera shake for more stable shots in different lighting conditions.

The unique feature set is complemented by an equally unique physical design suitable for easy one-handed use. The compact form factor is ideal for taking on the go, and a 2.36 million-dot electronic viewfinder, with a 60 fps refresh rate, ensures a clean, realistic view at eye level. A triple one-touch toggle button allows for quick zoom changes and the camera also has a microSD memory card slot for storing files and a USB Type-C port for charging the internal battery. In addition, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity can be paired with the Canon Camera Connect app for remote live view monitoring and wireless file sharing with a mobile device.
