The Eizo ColorEdge CG2420 impresses by operating on a simple principle: this monitor shows things as they are. This is done by the EIZO microprocessor, which was specifically developed for precise colour reproduction and calibration. The excellent electronics of the CG2420 make optimum use of the wide gamut LCD's potential. This way, 99% of the Adobe RGB gamut is covered.

The ColorEdge screen displays the finest textures and colour nuances and differentiates them from one another. The screen's integrated calibration sensor is perfectly calibrated to the screen and ensures that it displays the right hues. Using the Task scheduler, it is possible to carry out fully automatic calibration overnight or during the weekend. This way, the CG2420 is always "freshly" calibrated and continually displays the desired colours, just as they are.

Integrated sensor for self-calibration

With the integrated sensor you can achieve maximum colour accuracy. The sensor is perfectly tailored to the monitor and adjusts for external influences, such as light, and is correlated with the centre of the screen. This ensures an even result across the entire monitor. The sensor is concealed in the bezel and only comes out when measurement is needed. It eliminates the need for a separate calibration instrument and vastly reduces calibration time.

Professional calibration

Good image editing is only possible on well-calibrated monitors. The usual software calibration takes time and requires specific knowledge from the user. The CG2420 comes with ColorNavigator 5 calibration software. Even users without expertise can perform the calibration in just a few simple steps. More advanced users can set their own values for brightness, white point, and gamma, and create their own target profiles. Since the calibration is carried out through the hardware of the monitor, it is done without loss of data and independent from the computer and graphics card. The CG2420 blends seamlessly into an existing system.
