The Pentax K-3 III Monochrome is a compact, ergonomic and monochrome DSLR camera for keen photographers. To optimise the quality of monochrome images, the camera features a dedicated monochrome APS-C, CMOS sensor without an AA filter with approx. 25.7 effective pixels. As the sensor doesn't need to convert the incident light into colour, the focus is entirely on the brightness of the light. As a result, you will enjoy images with extra-detailed rendering, in high resolution and rich in gradations.

The camera offers a high light sensitivity of ISO 1,600,000. Furthermore, noise is kept to a minimum, even in the low or super high range. In addition to taking photos, you can also make videos in 4K resolution. With the Real-Time Scene Analysis System, the camera instantly detects the subject's face and eyes. This system optimises the exposure settings and improves the accuracy of the autofocus.

Movement correction

The built-in SR II motion compensation mechanism ensures sharp photos even in conditions prone to motion blur. Plus, thanks to the built-in AA simulator, moiré and incorrect colours are minimised to the same level as an optical AA filter.

Another feature of this camera is its built-in sensor-shift and automatic horizon correction. With this, an inclined position of up to 2° is automatically corrected by the sensor.  This camera also features a SAFOX 13 autofocus system with 101 focus sensors for razor-sharp focus on a subject.

Design and connectivity

The Pentax K-3 III works on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. This makes it easy to connect the camera to your Smartphone or tablet and use the Image Sync app to monitor your images from your mobile device.

The classic DSLR design is made of robust aluminium and the seals provide stability. The camera is also weather-proof.
