Plustek OpticBook A300 Plus
The Plustek OpticBook A300 Plus can scan an A3-size page in about 2.48 seconds, or a 200-page 21.6 x 27.9 cm book in about 20 minutes. The special book edge design scans book pages without the spine shadow and distorted text associated with scanning books on flatbed scanners or copiers. The included Book Pavilion book scanning software automatically cuts and rotates pages and then saves them in your chosen file formats, including PDF, searchable PDF, EPUB, BMP, JPG and TIF.
Plustek's patent-pending Shadow Elimination Element (SEE) technology integrates mechanical, optical and software technologies to deliver clear images within 2 mm of the book spine. Shadows and text distortions that occur on books scanned with traditional scanners and copiers are eliminated. There is no need to remove book pages from their binding.
Automatic continuous scanning and rotation streamlines the book digitisation process. With the Plustek bundled software Book Pavillion, pages can be automatically scanned and rotated at user preset time intervals. No user interaction with the PC screen is required during the scanning process.
Built-in optical character recognition creates searchable scanned books. The searchable PDF file format offers increased security, reliability and convenience in document transfer and exchange, while retaining the original documents, including fonts, images, graphics and layouts.
The OpticBook A300Plus is designed for high-use environments, including:
