The Saramonic SmartMic+ is an ultra-light and compact directional microphone that plugs directly into the headphone jack of smartphones and tablets to vastly improve the sound quality of the videos you shoot and the audio you capture. The directional recording pattern excels at focusing on the sounds in front, while rejecting sounds at the sides and back. Producing audio that is intelligible and clear, even in crowded environments.
Using the SmartMic+ couldn't be easier. Simply connect it to your mobile device with the gold-plated TRRS connector and you can start creating. There are no batteries to install or charge, and no levels to set. It really is plug-and-play. Thanks to a gold-plated headphone jack on the back, you can easily listen to your audio without removing the SmartMic+. You can also listen to the audio while recording, but this feature must be supported by the app you are using.
A close-fitting foam windshield is included that won't accidentally fall off during use or transport. The SmartMic+ can be placed either forward-facing, when using the selfie camera on your device, or outward-facing, when using your device's advanced camera. A small bracket prevents it from swinging away when connected. It captures audio that is rich and detailed, but the device itself is ultra-compact, small enough to fit in your pocket and weighing just 40g, so you can easily take it with you wherever you go.
