The Sony HT-A9 is a groundbreaking sound system for a 360-degree sound experience. The revolutionary 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology creates 12 phantom speakers based on 4 real, physical speakers. A wonderful addition to your home theatre set.

You set up the four speakers in your home theatre or, of course, just in your living room. Using dual microphones both horizontally and vertically, the speakers read and map the space. Once it is clear how all the sound waves travel through the space, all the info is linked together. This creates up to 12 phantom speakers, with the sound appearing to come from there as well. In this way, you will be completely immersed in your favourite movies and series.

Each speaker consists of several components: an upward-facing speaker, a soft-dome tweeter, a long-range woofer and dual microphones for positioning. Both the upright speaker and woofer are an X-Balanced Speaker Unit, which means they have a rectangular shape for richer bass. For extremely deep bass, there is the option of adding a subwoofer. Two models are available for this purpose: the SA-SW5 and the SA-SW3 (both sold separately).

The listening area is not limited to just in front of the TV. Other people in your living room also enjoy the same sound experience. The HT-A9 system is suitable for any type of living room. So you don't have to move your furniture or position the speakers accurately. You need to connect the control box to the TV with HDMI. The 4 speakers then connect wirelessly to the box, so there are no cables running through your living room.
