With the Sony HT-ST5000 Dolby Atmos Soundbar you can improve the sound of your television. Together with the supplied wireless subwoofer, the ability to decode Dolby Digital and DTS is designed to improve the quality of your sound compared to your TV speakers only, and the Atmos compatibility helps to add an extra dimension to your compatible media. The soundbar is equipped with Bluetooth with NFC for pairing with your compatible smart device and for wireless streaming of your audio content. The wired connections include three HDMI inputs, an optical input and a USB port for playing media from suitable stations. The HDMI output is ARC compatible, so you can hear TV-based audio from built-in apps such as Netflix and YouTube.
Sony's virtual surround sound combines digital signal processing and S-Force PRO with Wavefront technology to mimic a natural, three-dimensional sound field. Dolby Atmos offers improved realism with 360° surround sound, which positions the sound in your environment so that the 7.1.2 speaker channels completely surround you with sound, even from above. Two built-in speakers bounce sound from the ceiling to reproduce overhead sound to produce a wider sound image. Simply connect your USB device to enjoy Hi-res audio. The S-Master HX digital amplifier is designed to reduce distortion for accurate results with high-frequency ranges (above 40kHz).
