The Leofoto RB-2 Universal tripod weight creates a compartment between the legs under the tripod platform. You can use this open compartment to add weighted objects to weigh down the tripod. These can be stones or sand, but any other object can be used too. By increasing the pressure on the legs, the stability of the tripod is increased. This can be useful if you want to shoot in high winds. The advantage of a weighted compartment where the weight is distributed over the three legs is that the extra weight cannot fluctuate in the wind. You can also determine the extra weight yourself, up to a maximum of 20 kilos.
Three straps are included to fasten it all to the legs. These can be adjusted in length, so that they fit the space between the legs. The maximum width between the legs can be 680 mm. You can also make the straps shorter, making the length of one strap only 128 mm. A strap can be attached to a tripod leg with a diameter of up to 50 mm. The pouch made of the sturdy ripstop material is also ideal for keeping most of the accessories used in studio photography close at hand. At the bottom of the bag, there is a hook where you can hang an extra object.
