The Sigma 50mm F/1.2 has a construction of 17 elements in 12 groups and features 13 aperture blades. The four aspherical lens elements reduce flares and ghosting and limit aspherical aberrations in your images.
In addition, this lens features Sigma's HLA motor (High-response Linear Actuator). This gives you an Autofocus that is not only fast, but also accurate and quiet. This also makes the lens suitable for videos.
